This course provides introductory information about planning and scheduling activities, which are among significant elements of project management in construction. The need for planning and scheduling is described and the benefits of planning and scheduling are discussed. The techniques used in planning and scheduling are covered and the steps of planning and scheduling are explained. A commercial software package (i.e., Primavera – P6) is used to demonstrate how planning and scheduling techniques are used when a planning tool is used.
